Discuss Missouri’s relationship with the boys. How does it differ from the other relationships in their lives?

Missouri, unlike the other people that Sam and Dean have met on their adventures so far, knew them from their childhood. She knows about their lives before hunting and what they’ve been through, which make the relationship a more unique and precious in a way.  She can tell them about what their father was like before he got into hunting and obsessive about finding the thing that killed their mother.

Missouri is also very honest and puts things right out there, like when she told Dean he was a ‘goofy looking kid’ and threatens to whack him with a spoon if he puts his feet on the table. This shows that she treats them as she would family.

Also, Missouri is a real psychic, which means she can really sense the supernatural and tell what the boys are feeling, both of which are shown several times throughout this episode. This means that the relationship she holds to each of them is a lot more personal too since she can almost see inside their heads.
